Exhibition on Mario Francese (Palermo, Italy) | |||||||
Description | The exhibition narrates the work and the life of journalist Mario Francese, who was killed by the Mafia in January 1979. In the very suggestive Chiesa dello Spasimo of Palermo, the exhibition includes 30 panels articulated in chronological order, with photos and news articles written by him as a result of a careful observation of the bloody events that characterised Sicily in the 1970s. Through the representation of the professionalism and deep humanity of Mario Francese, who always cared about the problems of the people from the poor quarters of Palermo, the exhibition is intended to convey the message of a man who looked in the face of reality and described it without hesitation. |
