The project was submitted to the international design competition for the construction of the Audiovisual Museum in the historic building in the EUR area of Rome. The underlying idea is to create a large library with both books and audiovisual files, which is also a permanent cultural centre. The centre can host temporary exhibitions, screenings, concerts and events; it is a symbolic place of great visibility, as well as a meeting place and a teaching and leisure centre. The project includes a video projection system at urban scale, a “piazza telematica”, exhibition spaces on the various floors and a panoramic restaurant at the top floor.
